How to: Start Program Manager each time Windows 95 starts.
Solution:
Create a shortcut for Program Manager, place the shortcut in the WINDOWS\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP folder, and restart Windows 95.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Taskbar...'. (The 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box appears.)

3) Click the 'Start Menu Programs' tab. (The 'Start Menu Programs' tabbed page appears.
4) Click 'Add...'. (The 'Create Shortcut' dialog box appears.)

5) Type C:\WINDOWS\PROGMAN.EXE in the 'Command line' box.
6) Click 'Next'. (The 'Select Program Folder' dialog box appears.)

7) Select the START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP folder, and click 'Next'. (The 'Select a Title for the Program' dialog box appears, listing the default name of the program.)
NOTE: You can edit the default shortcut name by typing a different name in the box.
8) Click 'Finish'. (The 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box reappears.)
9) Click 'OK' to accept the changes and close the 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box.
10) Click the 'Start' button to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
11) Select 'Shut Down...'. (The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box appears.)
12) Select the 'Restart the computer' radio button and click 'Yes'. (The Program Manager starts automatically.)
